50 Shades of Dornan

Okay, so everyone and their mother has read 50 Shades of Grey. If you haven't, you know what it's about. I of course read all three books. I won't disagree with those of you among us who think the books are badly written. But then, were we really expecting it to be Jane Eyre? It was written in a conversational tone most likely because it started off as a blog, it is what it is. It was the book that got everyone talking about sex, S&M and everything in between. As a society of people who usually avoid explicit sex talk, it got it all out in the open - it has its good and bad points. Now in saying all that, I'd basically forgotten all about the books until I saw recent headlines about the actors who have been chosen for the film adaptation (2015). Now here's where it gets much more interesting...

Whether the film turns out to be a complete flop (no pun intended) or borderline porn is up for debate. I guess you'll just have to go watch it. BUT what I do know is this... Jamie Dornan is playing Christian Grey. Whether the cinema viewing is the worst experience of my life, knowing enough of the story, I am well aware it means seeing him with a lack of clothing for the majority of the film. So in that respect, it doesn't even need a storyline - just look at him. Oh and lets just hope he doesn't pull out of the role, like Charlie Hunnam did before him because then we'd all be sad.

p.s. yes this is a very shallow post based completely on the male image and good looks - why the hell not?!
